Accounting technology start-up to double headcount after increased funding

Founded last year, Outmin is now looking for engineers, accountants, and remote processing agents as it expands its accounting technology platform.

Irish fintech start-up Outmin has revealed plans to double its headcount to 20 after raising € 650,000 from Enterprise Ireland and angel investor.

The increased funding will provide the company with the means to add 10 employees by the end of the first quarter of 2022. Its current team of 10 works remotely across Ireland and the company is keen to continue along that line. It is looking to add engineers, accountants and processing agents to assist in its growth.

Launched in November last year, Outmin provides outsourced bookkeeping and accounting services to small and medium-sized businesses using artificial intelligence and cloud technology.

“Small business owners and operators have traditionally viewed finance and administration as a painful compliance exercise,” explained Outmin co-founder David Kelleher.

“Outmin removes the fears and pain points associated with these businesses, which in turn allows promising SMEs to run their business with superior data and less effort at a much lower cost, allowing them to focus their time on more important tasks. “.

Kelleher was previously responsible for revenue for the Jobbio job website. He has 10 years of experience working and growing with early stage technology companies.

Outmin already has 60 clients and is working with organizations such as Scale Ireland, Swoop Funding and various CFO networks to further expand its offering of early stage business services.

Starting from € 99 per month, the start-up can take care of payroll, expense management, tax returns, formalities and many other administrative services.

Start-up co-founder Ross Hunt said, “90% of global businesses are SMEs, but for a variety of reasons, professional services for SMEs today don’t reflect the modern world.

“We believe that tightly integrating accountants and accounting within a state-of-the-art data science and machine learning platform is the first step to enabling a revolution in professional services for SMEs and our explosive growth to date has already validated. our innovative approach “.

Outmin has launched its Marketplace service, which offers CFO, insurance, fundraising, forecasting and tax advisory services to clients.
