How are things between Kamala Harris and her people with Joe Biden and her people in the White House?
Not good, if we are to believe recent stories about the division between the two fields.
When even CNN is writing about it, you know there’s a problem Are they ditching Kamala or are they just on Biden’s side in the launch?
Tired of what they see as ingrained dysfunction and a lack of focus, West Wing’s top aides have largely raised their hands to Vice President Kamala Harris and her staff, simply deciding there is no time to deal with them in this time, especially at a time when President Joe Biden is quickly addressing multiplying legislative and political concerns.
Exasperation runs in both directions. Interviews with nearly three dozen former and current Harris aides, administration officials, Democratic agents, donors and outside consultants – who have spoken extensively with CNN – reveal a complex reality within the White House. Many in the vice president’s circle are angry that she hasn’t been properly prepared or positioned, and instead has been sidelined. The same vice president has told several confidants that she feels limited in what she is able to do politically. And those around her remain wary of hinting at future political ambitions as well, with Biden’s team very sympathetic to the signs of disloyalty, particularly from the vice president.
Meanwhile, she was virtually ignored by the French during her visit to Paris. This was the version of the trip from Politico.eu:

One of the things missing? The French made fun of themselves.
So if the idea was to use it to help in relationships or to launch it on the world stage, it doesn’t seem to have worked.
Harris was one of the VIP guests at the opening ceremony of the Paris Peace Forum, Macron’s premier annual event on global multilateralism.
But his speech was a bit flat, with Harris offering little in the way of concrete solutions or revolutionary new proposals to combat inequality.
Instead, the US Vice President called on world leaders to “refuse to accept the status quo” and fight the “dramatic rise” in inequality.
To be launched, they must first notice that you are there. It would be a fundamental element in all of this.
But this is much of the division reported – that Harris does not think she is being treated appropriately or presented favorably for the things she wants.
That’s why what happened today at the signing of the infrastructure bill with Joe Biden was so funny and in true Biden-Harris fashion, utterly confusing.
Harris was there, trying to participate in the “success” of signing the account. However, when it came time to speak, the music played, “Hail to the Chief,” which was more than a little weird with Joe Biden sitting right behind her. But you can see her beaming at the thought that the song might someday be for her.

Then the announcer asked everyone to “Welcome Heather Kurtenbach” as Harris clumsily stood on the podium to make his remarks. Kurtenbach was the woman standing behind Harris. You could see Harris’s face change and stiffen, then came the fake smile and she said, “In a moment,” obviously disturbed. Then he giggled a little and Joe Biden laughed.
So, you’d normally think Harris would be introducing Joe Biden for his comments on the bill. Instead, they had Kurtenbach, the political director of Iron Workers Local 86 in Washington state.
How did all this happen? Harris was likely called in to comment at the last minute to appease her after the split reports. But then they didn’t change the order of things with the announcer. Is this the typical inconsistency of the Biden-Harris administration? Or was he a true Harris troll of the Biden? All we can say is that it is now the Brandon-Kurtenbach administration.
