Alia Bhatt calls reports of her pregnancy ‘regressive’: ‘The man is having a child too, why only bother the woman?’

when the actor Alia Bhatt announced her pregnancy, she was filming her first Hollywood movie, Heart of Stone, in London. Shortly after, there were reports suggesting that her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, would ‘pick her up’ in London after she was filmed and these reports irritated the Darlings actor. Alia recently spoke out about the reports and said that she had to speak up because the ‘feminist inside her’ woke up after this incident.

In an interview with Goodtimes, the actor called the reports regressive, saying, “It’s a section of a certain media conversation that I think is extremely jaded and dated and regressive and all those words that we try to run away from. With the guise of writing a positive article, if you’re really going to say that a woman’s life is now going to be turned upside down, then that’s a bit unfair. You’re not saying that about the man. The man is also having a child, so why are you only bothering the woman?

Alia took to social media to react to these reports. Speaking of the same thing, she said: “The only reason I reacted was because I was going for a harsh comment and the feminist inside me woke up to all the knives and guns burning.”

at the time Alia took to social media and wrote, “Meanwhile, in some people’s heads we still live in a patriarchal world…FYI. (sic).” It also said: “Nothing has been delayed! No one needs to PICK up anyone, I am a woman, not a package. I do not need to REST at all, but it is good to know that you will also have a medical certification :)”

Alia’s latest release, Darlings, has received good reviews. The actor will next be seen in Brahmastra, followed by Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
