MANiLA, Philippines – Even on the international stage, Serbian center Boban Marjanovic showed why he is one of the most lovable players in the NBA.
Marjanovic shared a light moment with Gilas Pilipinas after Serbia’s 83-76 victory over the Philippines on Thursday at the Olympic Qualification Tournament in Belgrade, Serbia.
The gentle 7-foot-4-inch giant, who also plays for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA, took the time to indulge for a photo with Dwight Ramos, Mike Nieto, and Geo Chiu as he struck his famous pose.
A video of Marjanovic doing the same gesture with Nieto, Isaac Go, Ange Kouame, SJ Belangel, Will Navarro, Justin Baltazar, and physical therapist Dex Aseron also toured social media.

“People from the Philippines, everyone loves. Thank you for all your support, ”Marjanovic said in a video.
But while it was all fun after the match, Marjanovic was a threat to Gilas Pilipinas, who had no answer for him, especially when it mattered most.
With Gilas holding out tough with the world’s fifth best team, Serbia leaned on Marjanovic down the stretch to survive a tough position from the young Filipinos.
Marjanovic finished with 25 points, including late key baskets and 10 rebounds.
