Students can purchase select Mac and iPad models to receive a free set of AirPods, as well as the opportunity to get a 20% discount on AppleCare +.
Apple rarely, if ever, offers discounts on its products, so instead incentivizing purchases with free headphones. In years past, Apple has differentiated which headphones you get based on the model purchased, but in 2021 you will receive AirPods regardless of the device.
Apple already offers education pricing on most of its products year-round, so the back to school sale focuses on other incentives. The following devices will be eligible for a 20% discount on AppleCare + and a free set of AirPods on purchase.
Free AirPods are only eligible for one qualifying purchase per customer. New and existing students and teachers can take advantage of the educational discount and promotion offer “while supplies last.”
The AppleCare + discount only applies to the purchased product involved in the back to school promotion. Additionally, customers must purchase the plan during the promotional period to receive the 20% discount.
Customers can increase their potential savings by using the 3% Apple Card cash back, monthly fees, and the exchange program. Apple’s back-to-school student discounts are available now and generally remain available during the summer.
