Apple has formally added Stella Low to the Apple Leadership website.
Low, the company’s new vice president of communications, has been with the company since May 2021.
Stella Low is Apple’s Vice President of Communications and reports to CEO Tim Cook. He is responsible for Apple’s global communication strategy, leading the public relations team and employee communications.
Stella has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and communications. Before joining Apple in 2021, she was Cisco’s Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer. He has also held leadership positions at Dell Technologies and EMC.
Originally from the UK, Stella has a Bachelor of Business Studies from London South Bank University. He is a member of the board of directors of the Bay Area division of the American Heart Association.
Apple had hired Low in May, a necessary hire since the position was vacant for two years. The executive, who previously served as Cisco’s chief communications officer, reports directly to Tim Cook.
Apple confirmed the hiring, offering the following statement: “Stella brings her remarkable experience and leadership to Apple’s world-class communications teams. Apple has an important story to tell, from the transformative products and services we make, to the positive impacts. we have in our communities and the world, and Stella is a great leader helping us write the next chapter. “
Low succeeded Steve Dowling, who was Apple’s director of corporate public relations for ten years and then vice president of communications for five years. The executive left the company in September 2019. Phil Schiller had taken over before Low was hired.
