Apple has released an update to its beta firmware for several AirPods models, including AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and AirPods 2nd generation.

On Wednesday, Apple released a new version of the beta software, with the build number updated to 5A5304a. The previous build had the number 5A5282d.

According to Apple, the beta software contains improvements to automatic switching along with more general bug and stability fixes.

both AppleInsider and apple I strongly suggest Users avoid installing beta versions on primary or “mission critical” devices, due to the possibility of data loss or other issues. Instead, the recommendation is to install beta versions on secondary or non-essential devices and ensure there are sufficient backups of important data before making any major changes.
