Apple TV + has recruited six more cast members for the upcoming psychological thriller “Surface,” including Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Stephan James.
“Surface” wants star Gugu Mbatha-Raw to star Sophie. The series is described as a “heightened thriller about a woman’s search to rebuild her life after a suicide attempt, and her struggle to remember and understand everything that led to the moment she jumped.”
Jackson-Cohen will play James, Sophie’s husband and a partner in a venture capital firm. James will play undercover police officer Baden, who is described as having a “strong connection” to Sophie. according to TVLine.
Additionally, Ari Graynor has been cast as Caroline, Francois Arnaud will play Harrison, Marianne Jean Baptiste will play Hannah, and Millie Brady will play Eliza.
Created and written by Veronica West and directed by Sam Miller, “Surface” is the result of a partnership between Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Apple Studios. West, Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will executive produce “Surface” for Hello Sunshine, while Mbatha-Raw will serve as co-executive producer.
The series will initially include eight episodes and is scheduled to begin production sometime in 2021.
