Apple TV has garnered more awards, garnering accolades for its children’s programming in the second wave of Daytime Emmy Awards presented on Saturday.
Broadcast live on Saturday, the first half of the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards focused on children’s programming and animation. Some of the shows available on Apple TV + stood out in the collection, which saw stiff competition from other streaming services and rival broadcasters.
The film “Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth” earned its nomination as an “Outstanding Special Class Daytime Animation Program.” Variety reports 3D animator Anne Moth also received an award for “Outstanding Individual Achievements in Animation” for her work on the film.
“Stillwater,” a show that teaches mindfulness, added to its Peabody Award with a victory for “Outstanding Editing for an Animated Preschool Show, although it received nominations in several other categories that it failed to win.” with nominations in multiple categories, but ultimately did not get an award.
Saturday’s broadcast was the second of three daytime Emmy ceremonies for 2021, following an initial broadcast on June 25.
