Do you see yourself as a political anomaly?
In current News Block, certain groups of voters are often described as monolithic, or they only vote one way, although that’s never the whole story. We want to interrogate that narrative and talk to people who don’t think they check a box.
Do you think you could meet the requirements? Here are some of the types of people we’re interested in talking to: Gen Z (or young millennials) who endorsed former President Donald Trump last year; older black progressive voters; and Democrats who live in more rural areas of their state. But we won’t stop there. exist heaps identities worth exploring, and we are interested in breaking down the many divisions into groups of voters that are often described as homogeneous.
With our report, Five ThirtyEight hopes to show that large groups of voters are not a monolith by highlighting various blocs of voters that have interesting tensions within them. We are not trying to predict electoral trends and results; rather, we hope to tell stories about how different people are processing News Block.
To better tell these stories, we want to hear from you. Fill out the survey below and tell us a little about yourself and why you think you check a unique box. We could get in touch with you!
