Tony Navarette, 35, a “rising star” of the Arizona Democratic Party, was arrested Thursday night and charged with a felony described as “knowingly having sexual intercourse or oral sex with a minor.”
“Navarette was charged with three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of attempted sexual conduct with a minor and one count of sexual abuse of a minor” – KTAR News reported.
The minor victim was only 12 or 13 years old at the time the crimes occurred.
The crimes occurred in 2019, but were reported to authorities on August 4.

Navarette was released on $ 50,000 bond Saturday.
Both Republicans and Democrats are calling for Navarette’s resignation.
Navarette will appear in court on Thursday before his preliminary hearing next week.
