In Toronto, vehicle thefts have increased 300 percent since 2015, according to a report released Thursday by the Canadian Financing and Leasing Association (CFLA), and the problem appears to be getting worse.
Michael Rothe, CFLA president and CEO, says auto theft is a crisis in this country and can cause losses of $1 billion a year.
