Blake Lively owes her romance with Ryan Reynolds to a Japanese restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts.
The 33-year-old actress has been married to the Deadpool star since 2012 and has now revealed that their relationship began after they headed out to a Japanese restaurant called O Ya.
Over the weekend, the couple toured Memories Lane and visited this sentimental place again, while Blake took to social media to let his fans know how important the diner is to her.
She wrote next to the picture of her husband standing outside the restaurant: “If not for this place. We wouldn’t be together. Not a joke. No restaurant means more to us. “
And in the second post, Blake noted that it was about 10 years since the happy couple – who have daughters James, six, Ines, four, and Betty, 21 months, together – visited the establishment for the first time.
Next to a photo of herself and Ryan, she added, “10 years later. We still go on our first date. But in much more comfortable shoes. “
Ryan, meanwhile, recently talked about his first meeting with Blake while collaborating on 2011’s Green Lantern, when he made fun of the film and talked about their whirlwind romance that led to the two tying the knot the following year.
He said: “I met Blake in the darkest fold of the anus in the universe called the Green Lantern.
“We were friends and buddies, and after about a year and a half we had a double date, but we dated different people.
“We hung out and we always kind of kept in touch by chance, and the next thing you know, she was going to Boston. I was going to Boston and said that I would go with you.
“We got on the train and rode together. I just begged her to sleep with me. “
The 44-year-old actor also called their romance something “out of a fairy tale.”
He added, “After a week, I thought, ‘We should buy a house together.’ And we did. “
