One month after Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14 last year, his ex-partner Rhea Chakraborty was accused by the late star’s family of pushing him to his death. What followed was a highly public investigation into Sushant’s death involving the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), who arrested Rhea in September for allegedly procuring drugs for Sushant and paying for it. Almost a month later, the Bombay High Court granted Rhea bail.
Mane netizens accused Rhea Chakraborty and her family for the death of Sushant Singh. But many Bollywood celebrities came in support of Rhea.

1. Soni Razdan
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s wife, Soni Razdan, recently responded to a tweet in support of Rhea. He wrote: Her going to jail has clearly exposed only the people who sent her there and has shown that she was an innocent victim of a very twisted design. Why no one works with her? I think she will do very well. Either way I hope so.”
2. Shibani Dandekar
Shibani was the first to come out in support of Rhea. The two have been friends for more than 12 years. Actress and VJ Shibani Dandekar had lashed out at the media that had already found Rhea the culprit. Shibani also posted how the media had a family image of her and that her only crime was loving a man who suffered from mental illness. He stained Rhea
3. Rumi Jaffery
Rumi in one of his interviews stated that he is sure that Rhea will recover. “I am confident that she will get through this phase. Everyone will advise you to be brave, but only the one who is going through (ordeal) knows how difficult it is. Time is the best healer; in time, she will be fine. She is a talented artist and she will be ready to bounce back.”
4. Anurag Kashyap
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was one of the first to speak out in support of Rhea Chakraborty. The filmmaker shared the catchphrase on the T-shirt he was seen wearing Rhea when she entered the NCB office, but also revealed why Bollywood had chosen to live silently about Sushant’s death until then.
5.Kubbra Sait
Reacting to the news of Rhea’s arrest, the ‘Sacred Games’ star tweeted: “May the universe give Rhea’s parents strength during this devastating time. Arrested by NCB. He’s still not a murderer. #MediaCircus I wonder her talks about her shaam ki chai”.
6. Tapsee Pannu
Tapsee Pannu did her best to support Rhea. Her battle of words with Kangana Ranaut made headlines every day. One of her statements read: “There are people who support this point of view and there are people who have probably erased her from her mind before the court or investigative agencies have given her verdict. They want to force this opinion on everyone’s head. So I think that’s wrong. Do you want Rhea Chakraborty to go to jail or do you want the culprit to go to jail?
7.Richa Chadha
Richa had reacted strongly to the viral photo of rhea being harassed by the press on her way to the NCB office on the day of the primaries. Richa had later shared a cryptic tweet that read: “You may think that no one is watching…no one can from the sunken depths of their existence…that no one notices your naked greed, your black heart, the true maggot-infested rot.” ogre you are But you are wrong. we’re looking Because for now that’s all we can do. Bollywood ladies who came in support of Rhea
Rhea’s slogan ‘crush the patriarchy’ went viral almost immediately after the arrest with top Bollywood stars including Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Radhika Apte, Radhika Madan, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, Huma Qureshi and many others sharing the quote and demanding justice for Rhea. It was perhaps the first time India has witnessed leading Bollywood actresses show solidarity with one of their own and oppose the media judgment.
Bollywood men who extended their support for Rhea
Not only the leading women of Bollywood, but also the guys spoke. Actors Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Pulkit Samrat and Vijay Varma were among the prominent names speaking out against the wrongful arrest of Rhea Chakraborty.
Rhea Chakraborty is currently trying to return to her normal life. She and her brother Showik Chakraborty were seen house hunting earlier this month.
