KEN: Yesterday – oh, I was so excited to see this – Abbott, the governor, launched a border wall project. Remember last week he said I’m going to build my wall just because no one else knows how to do it, they won’t. No Democrat will do that. This is a game. So he got a quarter of a billion dollar advance and then yesterday he gave a press conference and said that.
ABBOTT: We know that temporary barriers and fences will not be enough to slow the flow of the record amount of illegal immigration that has taken place. That’s why today we announce that Texas will build a border wall in our state to protect our border.
KEN: Yes! That’s why I have a Texas shirt, folks, and I’ve never been there, but I bought the shirt because one of these days I’m going out in that free state. I’ve been to the free state of Florida. I’ve been to a handful of free states in the twenty-first century, but not Texas yet. But I have the shirt. I am proud to wear it. It says “Pray for Texas”. That’s how you do it.
And the great thing is, more and more governors stand up and come forward with their state assemblies to do things when the federal government won’t or interfere with what they and their people in that state want to do. Representative Kevin Brady of the House Ways and Means Committee was on Fox yesterday and said all the negative factors associated with illegal immigration have increased.
BRADY: It’s a startling indication of President Biden’s inability to address or even acknowledge this border crisis. I have been to the border many times. I’ve never seen anything like it. When we talk to communities, neighborhoods, border agents, families, we see that it is a real crisis. And there is nothing to complain about right now because the president basically said: “Look, these are open borders.” And what we’re seeing, of course, is sex trafficking has increased, violent crime has increased.
