Ministry of Justice – MAPPA Lay Adviser Northamptonshire (x2)

“The role involves: attending every Strategic Management Board (SMB) meeting; contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the operation of MAPPA; attend a MAPP level 2 or 3 meeting quarterly, to help understand the process and enable MAPPA monitoring and evaluation; confirm that the SMB has created effective links with other multi-agency forums, eg the Local Board of Criminal Justice and Local Child Protection Boards; assist in the preparation of MAPPA’s annual report, among other functions”.

“Ofcom’s roles and duties are set out in a series of primary and secondary laws, and a new online security bill is currently before Parliament which gives Ofcom new powers. As Ofcom fulfills the duties of video-sharing platforms and prepares for new responsibilities online, the online experience will need to be brought to board members. One or more of the appointees is expected to have an excellent understanding of the Internet, from its policy challenges and business drivers to its governance and architecture.
