Cardi B defends Halle Berry after receiving backlash online

Queen this, queen that! Halle Berry ruffled some feathers online today when a video of her calling surfaced Cardi B the “Queen of Hip Hop” was circulating. While promoting her upcoming film “Bruised,” which she directed and starred in last night, Halle spoke to attendees and thanked Cardi for collaborating with her on the score. The soundtrack, which includes Cardi B, Saweetie, HER and more, is the first ever to feature all women.

Speaking to the audience, Halle said: “When women get together and tell our stories, there is a difference, and I hope tonight you will see why so many women were behind the scenes who helped bring this story to life. you see this difference. This film embodies the first female hip hop soundtrack that has never been made before. ” As the crowd cheered, the Academy Award-winning actress praised her accomplice, Cardi, the soundtrack’s executive producer.

Halle thanked her and proclaimed she was the “queen of hip hop” explaining that she contacted the rapper “WAP” and they created an album which Halle believes is not only historic but also a splendid backdrop for the film. While some fans have shown Cardi, love, many people have called Halle for giving Cardi the title. You’ll know Cardi didn’t have it. He quickly took a step on Twitter to tell people not to do too much for Halle.
