Carlex Mercedes-AMG GT R PRO Tattoo Edition, a tribute to racing

Carlex Design’s Mercedes-AMG GT R PRO Tattoo Edition is a tribute to the automaker’s sporting heritage. “This is a bold break from standard solutions,” says the tuner. What does this actually mean?

Carlex Design made the Mercedes-AMG GT R PRO Tattoo Edition for those who are bold enough to grab the steering wheel of the superb car. A machine that looks very different from what it did when it came off the assembly line. Carlex experts manually brushed the entire body of the model. They later painted it in a bottle green shade, Racing Green, to underscore AMG’s racing heritage. This AMG variant runs the technology of GT3 and GT4 drivers.

The GT R PRO now spinning on brushed silver multi-spoke wheels that draw attention like a magnet at first glance.

Carlex has also completely overloaded the interior. The Tattoo Edition fuses luxury, sports car DNA and tattoo culture, using some of the most common designs. Skulls, swords, wings, badges completely recreate the atmosphere aboard the GT R PRO. A dreary space now increases the need to push the pedal to metal. Carlex claims it is the setting of a real tattoo studio.

The front seats are upholstered in leather and Alcantara, as are the center console, the armrests and door panels, the headliner and the pillars. The steering wheel has also undergone a transformation, showing a grip area in Alcantara, plus the 12 o’clock mark in green, opposite the flattened lower section. There are also new Alcantara floor mats.

How much does the Mercedes-AMG GT R PRO Tattoo Edition cost?

The whole package comes at a rather high price. It’s the kind of amount of money that many people can’t afford to pay for an entire car. Carlex Design is asking 58,000 euros to transform your Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro.

The GT R PRO comes with the company’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that sends 585 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque to the tarmac. These are the figures that help him get it from zero to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 318 km / h.
