Netflix has now unveiled our first look at the amazing looking animated movie, America: The Movie, an R-rated revisionist history tale about the founding of the country, featuring 21 Jump Street star Channing Tatum leads the way as George Washington with a chainsaw. Just read those last few words and ask yourself if this isn’t Netflix’s biggest achievement yet.
America: The Movie has amassed quite a bit of talent behind it, and it’s run by Goalkeeper executive producer Matt Thompson working from a script by Wonder Woman other Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings type Dave Callaham. America: The Movie remove the facts (facts, schmacts) to tell an ironic version of the American Revolution. Channing Tatum puts on his butt kicking boots. George Washington in this over-the-top animated comedy, with his chainsaw-wielding version of America’s first president who assembles a team to take on Benedict Arnold and King James.
