Christina Aguilera has declared her support for Britney Spears over her “unacceptable” guardianship.
The 40-year-old singer, who starred opposite hitmaker Toxic on the Disney entertainment show Mickey Mouse Club in the 90s, believes Britney “deserves all the freedom possible to live her happiest life,” after 39. The year-old pop star called the guardianship she has been in since 2008 “offensive” when she appeared in court last week.
In a series of tweets, Christina wrote: “For the past few days, I’ve been thinking about Britney and everything she’s going through.
It is unacceptable that any woman or person who wants to control their destiny could not live the way they want.
“To silence, ignore, intimidate or deny support from those close to you is the most destructive, destructive and humiliating thing imaginable. The detrimental mental and emotional damage this can cause to the human spirit should not be taken lightly.
“Every woman should have the right to her own body, her reproductive system, her privacy, her own space, her own healing, and her own happiness.
“Although I am not behind closed doors of this very layered and personal, but public conversation – all I can do is to share from the bottom of my heart what I have heard, read and seen in the media.
“The conviction and despair of this call for freedom leads me to believe that this man I once knew lived without the compassion and decency of those in power.
“To a woman who has worked under conditions and pressures unimaginable to most, I promise you that she deserves all the freedom she can take to live her happiest life (Sic).”
The “handsome” hitmaker also called on others to “support” Britney.
She added, “My heart worries about Britney. She deserves all the TRUE love and support in the world. (Sic) “.
Christina’s comments came after Britney spoke in court last week that she was “traumatized” and “depressed” due to her guardianship, and she called on her father, Jamie Spears, who acted as her conservative, to control her personal and business affairs for the last time. 13 years – to imprisonment.
She said, “They make me go to therapy three times a week and to a psychiatrist.
“I truly believe this guardianship is offensive. I don’t feel like I can live a fulfilling life. As long as I want this therapist to come to my house, I don’t want to go to Westlake … unprotected places.
“My father and everyone involved in this care, including my leadership … they must go to jail.”
Following Britney’s comments, Jamie’s legal team issued a statement insisting that he “loves his daughter very much.”
They said, “He regrets that his daughter is suffering and in such pain. Mr. Spears is very fond of his daughter. “
