As the founder and CEO of Pretty Girls Sweat – a company dedicated to helping end childhood obesity with nationwide training events for women and girls – Atlanta-based Aeshia DeVore Branch looks just like the part of someone who he trains (and enhances the benefits) to live. It’s not just the remarkably sculpted arms and elegantly strong body of the 42-year-old mom of three, but also her youthful, seemingly pore-free complexion that radiates a perpetual post-workout glow.
But it took more than exercise to get her skin back in shape: “Switching to cleaning products changed my skin,” says Branch, who once had to deal with relentless rashes. “I tried everything and burned my face. Over time, changing my skin care and diet – limiting sugar, dairy and processed foods and drinking more water and green tea – has helped me move on. “
Branch specializes in helping other people around corners. “Minority communities are disproportionately affected by childhood obesity,” he says. According to a 2021 National Institutes of Health survey, African American and Hispanic children are 30% more likely to be overweight or obese than their white counterparts. “Many avoid training because they don’t see pictures of women who look like them while they train,” she continues. “Fitness can change your life Other Be fun. Maybe skating is for you. For me they are group lessons, and here in Atlanta they are like a party: the music blows, people sing and the instructor arrives wearing a fantastic coordinated suit. When you find what you love, it’s easier to be consistent. “
The same goes for her approach to skin care. “I love anything that exfoliates and makes me glow,” says Branch. “It helps me stick to my routine. I never thought my skin would look like it does now. “
Illuminating face polish
I feel like I am putting small, slightly crushed diamonds on my skin. It’s luxurious and it really works. I leave it on for a few minutes until I feel things are happening. I rinsed it off and the skin has an instant youthful look.
Glazed donut before bed
Hailey Bieber said one thing that makes me cringe: that she likes to go to bed looking like a glazed donut, and she does. myself! I like sitting on the bed with a dewy air. Smooth on this rich cream – it’s great as a night cream – and if I need it, I put goop face oil on top to lock in all the moisture and really make my skin shine. The combination melts like butter and I love getting all that nourishment for my skin. Note: I always apply the cream and oil to damp skin – sometimes I spray on a soothing rose water spray right before to add even more moisture – so my skin can drink it all.
Clean mineral sunscreen
Staying out of the sun and wearing SPF 15 cream every day really helps keep my skin looking healthy. When I’m on vacation and the sun punches me in the face, I take an SPF 30 level or higher.

Lip balm that really lasts
I used a mineral oil balm on my lips, but this lip balm feels elegant and elevated – it glides and the packaging is beautiful. It also spreads well in layers: you smooth it to moisturize, then add gloss on top to make my lips stand out. I prefer to take it out of my bag rather than a not quite as chic tube of something. I feel like an adult using it.
Rich body butter after training
Fitness and sport have played a huge role in my life: I found my faith in sport. Right now, I am running on my treadmill at home and I also love the trampoline lessons. After a shower, this body butter is so nourishing and restores moisture to my skin.
