Cornwall doubtful, Gabriel will return – News Block

The second India vs West Indies Test Series 2023 match will take place at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain on July 20.

IND vs WI 2nd Test: After an embarrassing defeat in the first Test, a dejected West Indies will be looking to pick themselves up and play outside of their skin in the IND vs WI 2nd Test to avoid a series loss.

The second India vs West Indies Test Series 2023 match will take place at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain on July 20.

West Indies did not show any fights in the 1st Test. While the batting unit failed to reach the 200-run mark in both innings, the bowlers had to try hard to pick 5 Indian wickets.

The only positive for the team was the performance of debutant Alick Athanze, who was the hosts’ top scorer in both innings.

Cornwall OUT, Gabriel IN

Rahkeem Cornwall was sidelined on the 2nd with a chest infection. Although he participated the next day, he was not allowed to bowl due to ICC rules. However, even if he is fit, Cornwall are likely to be left out to make way for pacemaker Shannon Gabriel as the team reportedly look for short ball tactics against Indian batsmen.

Opening test call for Kevin Sinclair

The West Indies have made a change to their squad for the second Test which starts on Thursday in Trinidad. Raymon Reifer has been ruled out of the second Task. The West Indies have handed out a maiden Test call to bowler Kevin Sinclair.
