Devils: “Subban could be in trouble again after Rangers’ Blais injury”

New Jersey Devils defender PK Subban drew the wrath of the New York Rangers again later forward Sammy Blais he had to be helped to free himself from the ice following a collision on Sunday evening.

Chasing a puck into the corner, Subban and Blais joined in, with Subban’s skate slicing through Blais as they fought. Blais fell on the boards and seemed to awkwardly turn the knee or ankle. He immediately got out and grabbed his leg, his face contorted with agony. No penalty was called on the game.

Subban has been fined twice this season for treachery, including once for a preseason bout with Rangers’ Ryan Reaves. Rangers manager Gerard Gallant saw some similarities between the two incidents: “Very similar to the Reaves one I saw,” he told reporters after the game.

Subban, 32, has scored one goal and six assists in 14 games this season for the Devils.
