It’s no surprise to see AJ Brown in the final Titans injury report in a given week, but that’s not usually seen as truly “questionable”. However, heading towards Week 9’s Sunday Night Football showdown with the Rams, Brown seems like a legitimate game time decision, and his status is sure to cause a lot of headaches for his fantasy football owners. Knowing the latest updates will be key as you wait to put the finishing touches on your lineup and find out if Brown is playing.

We will continue to update this article with news about Brown until the official active / inactive report is released on Sunday around 6:50 pm ET. For all the latest fantasy updates, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.

Does AJ Brown play on Sunday night?

Brown (knee) normally practiced on Wednesdays and Thursdays This week, but a Friday “DNP” has his status up for discussion for Sunday night’s game. A weekend downgrade is always concerning, but Brown reportedly didn’t seem overly concerned when he spoke to the media on Friday. However, fancy owners need to be prepared for Brown’s inactivity on Sunday night.

STANDARD RANKINGS WEEK 9:
quarterback | Run back | Large receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

There aren’t many viable pivots if Brown is down. The best widely available option would be Van Jefferson of Los Angeles, but you might also see if Chicago’s Darnell Mooney (groin) is on the edge of free agents in your league. At worst, you could try a Tennessee backup like Josh Reynolds or Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and only hope for a touchdown. You could also opt for Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth if you left your flex point open.

RANKINGS WEEK 9 PPR:

If Brown is active, it is a must to start. There are some minor concerns over the injury and a possible encounter with Jalen Ramsey, but Brown has proven he can produce against anyone. It’s just too good to sit on, which is why we recommend you wait for it. That said, it’s fair to expect a few more goals for Julio Jones, who isn’t even on the Titans injury report after missing last week’s game due to hamstring pain.
