DONE DEAL! – Liverpool confirm deal as ‘medical tests’ will take place soon
Liverpool confirm the deal when Dominik Szoboszlai changes the edges closer.
Liverpool have confirmed that goalkeeper Adrián has signed a contract extension.
The goalkeeper signed a new one-year contract at Anfield, which will extend his stay to five years. Adrian joined the Reds from West Ham United on a free transfer in 2019.
He has made a total of 26 appearances and has been part of Jurgen Klopp’s team that won the Premier League, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
Posting on Twitter, Adrian, who is the third choice goalkeeper behind Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher, said: “Once a red… Always a RED! “Very proud and happy to be part of you for another year!”
Meanwhile, Dominik Szoboszlai is about to become Liverpool’s second signing of the summer.
The Reds are reported to have informed RB Leipzig that they will honor the midfielder’s £60m release clause which is due to be activated tonight.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote on Twitter: “Dominik Szoboszlai to Liverpool, here we come! Please understand that RB Leipzig is now informed that Liverpool have activated the release clause. “Euro 70 million deal done, to be signed soon. Personal terms agreed, Szobo is ready for medical examinations soon. Great signing for #LFC”.
Liverpool have already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for an initial fee of £35m
