Dwayne The Rock Johnson is to step up and help in a time of need.
The 51-year-old actor has made the largest single donation ever received by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Emergency Financial Assistance Program.
The fund helped provide financial relief to many of SAG-AFTRA’s 160,000 members during the COVID-19 pandemic and will do so again during the strike. It is estimated that between 7,000 and 10,000 members will require assistance.
President of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Courtney B.Vance and CEO cyd wilson revealed to Variety that Dwayne made a historic contribution to the fund.

Cyd He added: “It is the largest single donation we have ever received from one individual at a time. And what’s amazing is that that check will help thousands of actors put food on their tables, keep their kids safe, and keep their cars running. And it’s not lost on me that he’s very humble about it, but it’s a way to help us get started.”
