F1 News: Austrian Grand Prix top 10 stats – Max Verstappen domination but Ferrari take podium 800 – News Block

1. Max Verstappen has claimed victory in four of the eight Sprints so far. He is the only one to win the event in every year of its existence.

2. He surpassed Ayrton Senna to secure his 42nd win, putting him in the top five all-time winners in F1.

3. Since the start of 2021, Verstappen has racked up as many wins (32) as Fernando Alonso has managed in the last two decades.

4. Verstappen racked up the most points available in a race weekend (34). He is the only driver to have done it twice, as he also did it at Imola last year. George Russell is the only other pilot to achieve this feat.

5. With a P9 finish, Lance Stroll (238 pts) is now Canada’s top points scorer in F1, surpassing Jacques Villeneuve (235 pts).

6. P2 is the best result of the season for Charles Leclerc and Ferrari.

7. Leclerc’s podium finish also marked Ferrari’s 800th podium finish in the sport as a constructor. His first podium finish came at the 1950 Monaco GP, courtesy of Ascari.

8. P8 is Lewis Hamilton’s lowest result in Austria.

9. Lando Norris is maintaining his 100% scoring streak in Austria, having finished in the top seven every time he has raced here.

10. Having won each of the last five races, this is Verstappen’s joint best F1 winning streak.
