Florida Georgia Line continues its evolution as a pioneering global superstar in early 2021, announcing the release of their fifth studio album, LIFE ROLLS UP (BMLG Records), out February 12, 2021. Fans can pre-order starting today (12/4).
“I think this personally is just a big celebratory chapter,” explains Hubbard. “We have come a long way since 2012, when we released our first album, it’s absurd to think about the journey we have done, the things we have to do, the places where music has taken us. We’re celebrating life and the good times, the ups and downs, and the journey it took to get to where we are. “
“It’s just evident within the music how much fun we’re having,” adds Kelley, “and for sure how beautiful we are in life.”
This positive headspace emerges above the showpiece, including their current Top 20 single, arm in arm “Long Live” and FGL’s 17th career # 1, “I Love My Country”. More, LIFE ROLLS UP features every song on the 6 packs EP and as many unreleased tracks – 13 of which were written by the pair with a high-level team of collaborators such as David Garcia, Jaren Johnston, Dallas Davidson, Ben Hayslip and Tree Vibez Music songwriters Corey Crowder, Jordan Schmidt, Canaan Smith and Blake Redferrin.
“He really understood the feeling of where we are, especially in 2020, and everything everyone is going through,” says Hubbard. “It was a struggle for everyone, and I feel this song gives some hope, and the truth is that life goes on. Life goes on and we will stay positive and keep our heads up and look to the future. “
“I think it means so many different things to so many different people, and that’s what I like,” agrees Kelley. “It’s not a sad song, it’s a hopeful song, and it contains a little bit of every emotion. There is just something going on that looked like it would complete the record. Life goes on”.
