The recently concluded FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week was not only full of style and glamor. As always, it also had numerous celebrities who became spectators for the show designers. But among the many, a prominent actor who attracted attention was the Khaali peeli star Ananya panday.
The 22-year-old walked down the ramp for the designer Ruchika Sachdeva like the Lakmé Absolute Grand Finale showtopper, looking adorable in a crop top and multi-colored maxi skirt. On the guidelines of the phygital event, the actor spoke with indianexpress.com about his association with the designer and how he manages to “flutter” stage fright.
How would you describe your association with designer Ruchika Sachdeva for your ‘Ready Set Play’ collection?
It’s the perfect partnership, because I really resonate with his style. It has a bold design structure. It’s a unique style that she has, like when you see wonderful pieces, you know she designed it. And I really love her splash of colors that she uses.
How has your experience been with a phygital fashion show, a mix of physical and digital?
It’s actually a ‘phygital’ show. And I feel like the world is going a little bit digital now. Therefore, it is exciting to be a part of such a unique show. I’ve always wanted to have some kind of drive and experience and I think this is the perfect one.
What do you think of the new collection?
The collection is inspired by Lakmé’s beauty theme #MiniPlayMegaSlay. It’s super fun and goes with this season’s theme, which is finding joy in the smallest things in life because it’s a mini collection. And I think it’s super cute. It comes in 10 different shades and my favorite is ‘being a nomad’ and they have five different styles.
