Gal Gadot on why she joined the live-action remake of Disney’s Snow White

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot revealed, in part, why she decided to join Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Snow White like the Evil Queen.

Disney has had tremendous success with live-action remakes of its beloved properties. The remakes of The Lion King, Aladdin, And The beauty and the Beast, for example, all of them have earned over $ 1 billion at the worldwide box office per piece. Now Disney is giving the live-action treatment to the film that started it all.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs it was actually the first animated feature film ever produced and was, at the time, considered a big bet. The gamble obviously paid off and now animated feature films are a normal part of the film industry. It remains one of the few animated films that Disney has yet to give the live-action treatment to, possibly because of the Snow White and the Hunter film released in 2012. But now a remake is finally being prepared with Gal Gadot as the main antagonist of the film.

Yesterday a new report revealed in which Gal Gadot was to act Snow White in the role of The Evil Queen; Snow White’s stepmother who chooses to have the girl killed simply to be able to say that she is the most attractive woman in her kingdom. As I speak with Variety, Gal Gadot talked about what attracted her to the project, but noted that she couldn’t reveal everything right now:

“Oh! There is so much that I cannot share with you that it will actually answer this question. But the interpretation of this story is so different, delightful and full of joy. I am very, very excited.”
