MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines continued their unbeaten streak and crushed Indonesia, 76-51, in the group stage of the 2021 Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers on Friday at the Angeles University Foundation.
Gilas Pilipinas, already qualified for the main tournament, raised his record to 5-0 to reign at the top of Group A.
Indonesia, meanwhile, remained in third place with a score of 1-4, but is still qualified for the competition by virtue of hosting the Asian Cup.
When the two teams met in February 2020, the Filipinos also outscored the Indonesians by 30 points, 100-70.
