Hardy recovering from ‘significant injuries’ after tour bus crash

Country music singer-songwriter Hardy and his tour crew are recovering from a bus accident that occurred early Sunday morning. The singer took to social media to update fans, revealing that all four people who were on the bus, including himself, “were treated for significant injuries.”

Michael Wilson Hardy was on tour after completing two shows in Bristol, Tennessee, when the tour bus flipped onto a portion of Interstate 40 West near Nashville, according to a report from tennesseans. The artist has already been discharged from the hospital, “ordered by doctors to recover over the next few weeks.” However, his bus driver is still being treated.

“Our friend and bus driver needs your prayers as he is still in the hospital,” Hardy wrote in his statement. “His family is with him as he is being treated and we are all praying for him.”

The singer also acknowledged that the recovery time “may cost us a couple of shows”, but stated that there will be updates on his team “in the next few days”. The singer and his group were scheduled to perform a series of shows through December, starting on October 1. 8 at Globe Life Field with his old friend, Morgan Wallen, in Arlington, Texas.

Variety has reached out to Hardy’s team for further comment.

Hardy rose to fame in 2018 with the song “Up Down,” featuring frequent collaborators Wallen and Florida Georgia Line. Since then, the 32-year-old has written several of his own No. 1s including “One Beer” with Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson, and “Beers On Me” with Dierks Bentley and Breland.
