Who knows the difference between Health and Wellness? Any? Well let me tell you…..

Many people probably think that Health and Wellness are the same or very similar, however, there is a difference between the two. The difference between Health & Wellness, is that HEALTH is a state of being, as it refers to physical, mental and social well-being, such as being free from disease, as your health involves the way you eat (your nutrition), how you move your body (exercise) and the absence of acute or chronic diseases. WELLNESS is the state of living a healthy lifestyle. Wellness aims to improve well-being and refers to an overall balance of a person’s physical, social, mental and spiritual self.

It is very important to be selfish enough to take care of ourselves by eating healthy foods, exercising every day, surrounding ourselves with positive people, living in a healthy environment for a healthy mindset, staying away from addictive substances that will alter your mind and disturb your well-being and rob you a healthy lifestyle.

Our state of Health and Well-being is vital to grow, prosper, live, succeed, take care of ourselves and love ourselves enough to keep our body, spirit and mind in balance to live in harmony.

I hope this has shed some light on the difference between Health and Wellness and starting to want to live a healthy lifestyle. Go ahead and make it happen!!
