The UEFA Champions League continues as 32 teams dream of lifting the trophy on May 28, 2022 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The competition is in the midst of its group stage which will reduce the field to 16 teams that will advance to the round of 16 consisting of a home and away series. In the knockout stage starting in February, the team that has scored the most goals in the two games moves on to the next round. In a new twist, away goals will not be a play-off from the 2021-22 European season. The UEFA Champions League final is a single match played on a neutral ground.

How to watch the UEFA Champions League

The 2021-22 UEFA Champions League will be broadcast in the United States by CBS (English) and Univision (Spanish) on a number of TV and streaming platforms.

Here is the breakdown of the 32 teams that gained access to the 2021-2022 UEFA Champions League group stage. A total of 26 direct spots to the group stage draw secured their league place in their respective national competitions. Additionally, six playoff qualifiers have been added to the list.
