By Pamela Geller, Breitbart News, February 3, 2018:

The Daily mail reported Thursday that “Tehran police arrested 29 women for appearing in public without headscarves as protests against the dress code in place since the 1979 Islamic revolution escalate,” citing Iranian police.

“Those arrested were charged with public order crimes and referred to the prosecutor’s office, Iranian news [sic] agencies reported without elaborating, “notes the report.

Thursday was also “World Hijab Day”, which its organizers say it is designed to “combat discrimination against Muslim women through awareness and education. It is a day when women of different backgrounds and personal beliefs are encouraged to wear the Islamic veil in solidarity with Muslim women “.

And so, under the hashtag #StrongInHijab, Islamic supremacists and their willing left-wing gophers – Western middle-class feminists – celebrated the first annual “World Hijab Day” yesterday. In one of the most pathetic and destructive “virtue signaling” spectacles, non-Muslim women were urged to wear the robe of oppression, submission and misogyny. As women fight and die for their most basic rights in countries governed by Islamic law, leftist hitmen in the West are working to enforce the misogyny of Sharia law.

Look, it doesn’t matter if you’re wearing the hijab. Nobody cares if you wear purple hair, for that matter. But what about women forced to wear hijabs. American girls like it Jessica Mokdad, Amina Said, Sarah Said, Noor Almaleki, and many others who have been murdered of honor for not wearing the hijab, for wanting to live free. Who speaks for them? Real-world recognition day should be a tribute to women who are forced to wear hijabs, beaten and / or arrested if they don’t.

A campaign to fight forced hijab in Iran organized by Ms. Masih Alinejad is My stealth freedom. It is “dedicated to Iranian women inside the country who want to share their photos taken ‘secretly’ without the veil” and wants to be a “living archive” of their struggle.

For years, my work in defense of Muslim women who want to live free, to be free, out of the boot of sharia misogyny, has been vilified, mocked, labeled as “Islamophobic”. Girls like Rifqa Bary and the dead girls, including Aqsa Parvez, Amina and Sarah Said, Jessica Mokdad, Noor Almaleki and others, wanted to be free not to wear hijab – in America. Our calls for such basic freedom were brutally attacked amidst constant cries of “racism” (Islam is not a race) and absurd claims that we were making it difficult for Muslim women to wear hijabs. It was ridiculous, of course, because I never addressed Muslim women and their choices, no matter how submissive and submissive, but this was uniformly rehearsed and sung by Islamic supremacists and their leftist little dogs, especially in the “feminist movement. “

And now we see a whole nation of women, Muslim women, standing against the hijab. Are they too “Islamophobes”?

Remember: The Islamic Republic of Iran is the country that Democrats are fighting for today, opposing President Trump’s efforts to prevent Iran from arming itself with nuclear weapons.

Like David Kurten In Breitbart News points out, punishments for removing a hijab can be brutal: Islamic regimes are known to physically beat women for failing to comply with their dress codes. This is true not only in the Middle East, but increasingly locally in the west.

A brave principal of a London elementary school recently took steps to ban children under the age of eight from wearing hijabs at her school. The school is located in an area of East London that underwent the near-total replacement of the white working-class population there 50 years ago with mostly Muslim people from Bangladesh and Pakistani today. The response from the local community was to organize an intimidation campaign against her until she pulled back.

World Hijab Day is a surprising accusation against the hypocrisy of the evil left as much as the choice of Linda Sarsour, a supporter of forced marriage, a sharia promoter as their leader. True “feminists” are women who fight for a fraction, a sliver of the freedoms their Western “sisters” enjoy.
