I can still play 100% but I have to think about my future, admits Jack Wilshere

Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has revealed that the possibility of retiring from football is in the cards for him, but he believes he can still play, even if he is far from England. The 29-year-old is currently training with Arsenal but has been a free agent since leaving Bournemouth.

After emerging as a major star of arsenal, many expected Jack Wilshere move forward and become one of England’s best midfielders, but the future had other plans for him. Instead, the now 29-year-old struggled immensely with injuries and fitness issues, which saw him struggle to make his mark on the game. He saw Bournemouth release the England international earlier this season on a free transfer with Wilshere now looking for a new club.

But things went from bad to worse as the midfielder struggled to find a new team, with him last playing in a match just under a year ago and currently training with Arsenal, while working. on his coaching badges. But at the same time, he saw Wilshere admit that the possibility of him retiring at 29 is on the cards even though he believes he is “100%” ready to play. The midfielder also added that he could be forced to go abroad to play as it “could be beneficial” for him.

“I have to think about it (when asked about a potential retirement). That’s why I’m coaching. I’ve been forced to do it a little bit, but I’m grateful for the opportunity. I think 100% I still can I don’t care what they say either people write or what they say on social media, “Wilshere told the BBC.

“I’m an honest guy. If I didn’t think I could do it, I’d be the first to say, ‘Enough, I’ll do something else.’ But I’m almost at the point where I think about something different, abroad, it might be useful for me.”
