In this issue, we meet Customer Service Concierge Geraldine LamYuen.
Where you grew up?
I was born in Pago Pago America Samoa. Our family moved to California when I was 14 to get a better education and also to grow our family. I recently moved here to Las Vegas in 2017 from the Los Angeles area.
What prompted the move to Las Vegas?
Many reasons, it is where a large part of my family lives. In fact, I was the last to move. Being close to family is very important to me.
What is your favorite part of living in Las Vegas?
There is always something to do here. They call it the city that never sleeps and now I can confirm it, and I totally agree with that. Never sleeps!
What was your first job?
I worked for Sony Electronics for many years in customer service.
What do you like most about working for Office1??
The people who make Office1. Team Collaboration: Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision and the ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational goals.
What is the biggest project on your to-do list right now?
Currently managing FM audit alerts received on a daily basis and helping fill supply orders as needed for our customers.
What excites you most about technology?
It is always changing. Just to know what’s next. New innovations are taking technology to another level, no one can predict where technology will take us in the coming years.

TO: I choose Opportunity. Every day you have the opportunity to grow yourself. To be better. Work hard, train harder and make every day count. Above all, it is a blessing to have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing working family. Thanks Office1.
Do you have a nickname and how did you get it?
Everyone calls me Geri or Gerald but I like Geri better.
What are your biggest hobbies?
Staring – It is impolite and awkward.
What is your favorite phrase?
Today will never come again. be a blessing Be a friend. cheer someone up Take time to care. May your words heal, and not hurt.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Spending time with family. Family is everything.
Are you seeing or wanting to see something?
I’m looking forward to watching Christmas movies on the Hallmark Movie Channel.
What would your coworkers be surprised to know about you??
I love helping others in any way I can, but what no one knows is that I have a terminator side.
You refer to one side of the terminator. What do you mean by that?
If he terminator side. I was referring to the metals on the right side of my brain, luckily I survived my brain aneurysm. I’m a survivor.
If you could choose a superpower, which one would you choose?
There are so many! I would say the ability to read minds. If he could read minds, he’d know what people were thinking. I am working on it!
How do you handle the changes that Covid-19 has brought to your life?
Following CDC guidelines everywhere I go! It has been a huge impact not only physically but mentally. I see the changes affecting not only me but also my co-workers, especially those with children. We have to think positive. If we have a positive mindset and support each other, we will get through this.
Any advice for readers?
If we think positive by taking much-needed precautions and staying safe. It is our new normal. Together we will get out of this.
