Fresh from the news that Kawhi Leonard will miss Game 5 on Wednesday, the Utah Jazz announced that they will have a star of their own.
Jazz say star point guard Mike Conley will be out of matchup against him Los Angeles Clippers as he continues to deal with a right hamstring strain. The 33-year-old has yet to adjust to the second-round series after playing all five games against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Conley initially suffered the injury in February, forcing him to miss 21 regular-season games. While he made it through the first four games against the Grizzlies, Conley made it worse again in Utah’s Game 5 win.
The 14-season NBA veteran has averaged 17.4 points and 8.6 assists on 46.7 percent shooting, including 54.8 percent from beyond the arc, in the playoffs.
Game 5 between the Clippers and Jazz begins at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT on Sportsnet 360.
