Press Secretary Psaki said in the White House daily briefing:
Clearly not, we are talking about additional steps that must be taken and frankly information that the media organizations can decide if you are going to inform or not in they are not. I’m talking about these individuals, of whom I am speaking, you know how prevalent is the spreading this information that is, the public has the right to to know. And we are dealing with a life and death issue here so everyone has a role to play making sure it’s accurate information.
They are a private sector company, they will additions on steps that can wear. Alone in foreign government piece, I think it’s a interesting question. The state Global department the engagement center has found that Russia and China have promoted his own vaccines that undermines the western origin health development programs. So that’s more than just competition over vaccines, risk and impact you have to this kind of information magnificent you know, the risk of potential side effects associated with western vaccines. This misleads the public into falsely claiming that mRNA vaccines are unproven and risky although many are approved tend to have gone through the approval gold standard process.
The People’s Republic of China has also suggested that the Covid-19 treatments of the American hordes and prevents other countries from acquire vaccines despite evidence to the contrary. Pressing information that these they are ineffective and useless. Many people in these platforms, they are not discriminating between source of information and that is also detrimental.
Jen Psaki: COVID misinformation is a matter of life and death
The COVID disinformation that is spreading on Facebook, and Facebook is the social media platform with the biggest COVID disinformation problem, makes people die.
Jen Psaki was right. This is a life and death problem. The Biden administration respects Facebook’s status as a private company, but if the social media giant doesn’t act together, there is bipartisan support in the House and Senate to do something about Facebook.
Facebook has the ability to remove all misinformation, and every day that it doesn’t, more Americans get sick and die.
