Jessica Simpson is putting an end to rumors that she used Ozempic to lose weight.
In a new interview with Bustle, Jessica denies that Ozempic is the reason for her weight loss.
“Oh Lord. I mean, it’s not (Ozempic). It’s willpower,” he told the outlet. “I’m like, do people want me to drink again? Because that’s when I weighed the most. Or do they want me to have another baby? My body can’t do it.”
While the “Contigo” singer, who has been sober since 2017, admitted to being hurt by negative comments about her body, she says she won’t let criticism take over her life.
“Am I going to let negativity derail me? No, I’m too old for that. I’m too connected to myself right now to let that derail me. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.”
She continued: “I’m lucky to have been of all sizes, for (my) brand, for understanding women (who buy our products) and for my psyche.”
Simpson’s physique raised concerns after he appeared in a Pottery Barn Kids sponsored video in late 2022, with many wondering if his health was okay. The internet was abuzz with rumors that Jessica was taking Ozempic to lose weight.
This is not the first time that the singer has been the target of negative comments about her appearance. Last year, the mother of three spoke to Terri Seymour’s of “Extra” about her talk of her weight loss journey.
“They have criticized me and it hurts, but I have had all the weights and I am proud of it. I decided, ‘Okay, everyone is going to talk about my weight all the time, I might as well make money off of that and turn it into a clothing and acceptance business.’
