While the Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh is likely to visit the state to participate in the “Sainik Samman” program on November 20, BJP BL Santosh National Secretary General (Organization) may visit Dehradun in the last week of November.
“National Secretary General BL Santosh will attend the state executive committee meeting which will be held in the last week of November,” said Suresh Joshi, spokesman for Uttarakhand BJP.
BJP head Nadda will hold talks with the coordinators of the 28 assembly seats that fall under the Almora seats and Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha during his stay in Kumaon. The BJP has formed a central committee in all 70 state assembly venues and is led by a coordinator.
Nadda’s presence in Udham Singh Nagar is considered politically significant in view of the challenges the BJP is facing due to agitation from farmers and the exit of former minister Yashpal Arya from the party fold. So Nadda wants to participate in a “Sainik Samman” program in the Chamoli district.
BJP District Executive Committee meetings will be held November 20-30 statewide. Between 1 and 12 December, the party will hold meetings of its divisional committees (Mandal). These meetings are politically significant for the party before the start of the “Vishan Sabha Sammellan”.
“The party wants to put on a good political show in every seat of the assembly between December 15 and 20,” said a BJP source. The party also wants to eliminate “Rath Yatra” and seek the suggestions of the people to give final shape to its electoral manifesto.
The party also decided to organize “Vijay Sankalp Yatra” in all 70 seats of the assembly from 1 December.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, in charge of Uttarakhand BJP, has held meetings over the past week and shaped the plans. He also stressed the possibility of establishing direct contacts with party workers on a regular basis.
