It seems that everything is fine between Kanye West and Soulja Boy, all of you! As we previously reported, Ye and Soulja weren’t in the best place after the verse Soulja wrote for ‘DONDA’ was left out of the album. Kanye hadn’t talked about the situation until his recent interview with Drinking samples, but it appears that the two have made amends.
Kanye left Soulja and her fans wondering why her lines weren’t included in the final version of “DONDA”, and Ye jokingly revealed that he didn’t really hear the lines Big Draco had put together. Kanye posted an exchange that he shared with Soulja via text message, where he apologized for not telling him his verses weren’t cut.
“Yo is Ye,” wrote Kanye. “I love you brother. I should have told you that I would not have used the verse. “
Soulja replied with, “I love you too brother. It was all I wanted.”
While technically they weren’t an apology, Ye and Soulja seem to be in a good mood after all the hustle and bustle.
“I was the first rapper to apologize to Kanye West,” Soulja Boy joked on Twitter.
It looks like Kanye has been trying to make peace with some of his industry rivals in recent times. He recently asked Drake to join him in an effort to help free Larry Hoover.
“I ask Drake on December 7 to join me on stage as a special guest to share the two greatest albums of the year, live in Los Angeles with the ultimate goal of freeing Larry Hoover.”
