Kylie Jenner defends Travis Scott in the midst of a concert tragedy


Speak. Pregnant Kylie Jenner shared a statement regarding the tragedy that occurred during her boyfriend Travis Scottof the 2021 Astroworld Festival, which left eight dead and at least 17 injured.

“Travis and I are devastated and devastated,” Jenner, 24, wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, November 7. “My thoughts and prayers are with all those who lost their lives, were hurt or otherwise affected by the events of yesterday. And also for Travis who I know he cares a lot about his fans and the Houston community.”

Scott, 30, (real name: Jacques Berman Webster II) starred at his annual Astroworld Festival at NRG Park in Houston, Texas on Friday, November 5. Rapper “Goose Babies” took to the stage at around 9pm, when the packed crowd “began to squeeze to the front of the stage,” Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña explained in a Press conference that night. “We know we had at least eight confirmed deaths tonight and we had dozens of individuals who were here in this event,” Peña said. “We have transferred 17 patients to the hospital.”

Jenner, who is currently pregnant and expecting baby n. 2 with Scott, attended the show with her and Travis’s daughter, Stormi Webster, sister Kendall Jenner. The three reported no damage.

The morning after the tragic incident, Kylie Cosmetics founder was targeted by fans who claimed she recorded and left the concert videos on her Instagram Stories overnight, which allegedly depicted the scuffle. It further defended itself in its official statement.

“I want to make it clear that we were not aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would we continue to film or perform,” the Kylie’s life alum added.

Scott immediately shared his thoughts after the incident on Saturday, November 6. “I am absolutely devastated by what happened last night,” the rapper wrote via Twitter. “My prayers go out to the families and all those who have been affected by what happened at the Astroworld Festival. The Houston police have my full support as they continue to investigate the tragic loss of life. “

On Saturday, the Houston native went into more detail in a series of Instagram Stories, saying he couldn’t have imagined the “gravity of the situation.”

“I just want to send prayers to everyone who got lost last night,” said the “Sicko Mode” artist in a visibly excited selfie video. “We are actually working right now on identifying families so we can help the system in this difficult time … We have been working closely with everyone to try and get to the bottom of this.”

Scott begged his followers to “contact the local authorities” if anyone had information about the incident. He also stressed that he would “do everything possible to keep you updated”.
