Finding her next major role wasn’t a problem for Lady Gaga.

Appearing on “The Graham Norton Show” this week, the singer-actress was asked if she felt pressured to live up to the success of “A Star Is Born” in choosing her next film.

“I didn’t feel the pressure at all. I only work on things I believe in,” she said.

That work is the film “House of Gucci”, in which she plays Patrizia Reggiani, who has hired a hitman to kill her ex-husband Maurizio Gucci.

“I read the script and found it really fascinating and interesting, then I met Ridley Scott and was so excited to work with [co-star] Adam [Driver]Gaga said.

The film also stars a number of other famous actors, including the legendary Al Pacino.

“It was terrifying, thrilling, fantastic, it’s Al Pacino! It completely transformed the acting landscape in film and I have admired it for a long time, “he said.

Another aspect of the role was turning down the Italian accent, which required some work from Gaga.

“I started vocals six months before filming began and stayed there for the entire duration of the shoot, which I’m sure was very annoying for Adam,” said Gaga. “For me I thought it was more difficult to get in and out, so I stayed in character.”

“The Graham Norton Show” airs Saturday November 20 at 11pm ET / 8pm PT on BBC First in Canada, which is now in free preview until January 2, 2022.
