Lala Kent and Stassi criticize the double standards for the reaction to Ariana – News Block

Lala Kent and stassi schroeder recalled the times they’ve been cheated on during a recent episode of Stassi’s podcast, comparing their cheating scandals to that of ariana madix and Thomas Sandoval.

Months after Sandoval was caught up in a multi-month affair with him and Ariana’s close friend and Vander Pump Rules co-star, raquel levissLala suggested that Ariana, who has benefited exponentially from her ex-boyfriend’s cheating, was the “perfect victim” as she recalled that many felt she “deserved” to be cheated on by her ex-boyfriend. “People looked at me like I deserved it,” Lala shared on the July 19 episode of Direct with Stassithrough Goodbye wig, hello drama On Instagram. “They look at me like, ‘Well, you destroyed a house,’ and whether that’s true or not, like, I’m done explaining how that happened. If people want to believe that, that’s fine. But they see me as the girl who likes her, she deserves certain things because I’m so vocal. People have watched me walk out for many years, so it’s seen as, ‘Well, this was just humbling for you.’ You needed this.’”

Meanwhile, Stassi, who was cheated on by her ex-boyfriend jax taylor on numerous occasions, he said he can identify himself.

“I completely understand this because just like in the first seasons of Vander Pump Rules when Jax cheated, then when Jax cheated with (kristen doute), and all those little moments, people were like, ‘Well, you’re a bitch, of course, you deserve it,’” Stassi revealed.

Lala then recalled a featured article the LA Times did with her in which they spoke to a Columbia professor, who said that when scandals happen, the woman has to be the “perfect victim.”

“When something like this happens, you have to be the perfect victim. You have to be neutral at all times. You can’t really have a past because if you have those things, they see you as someone who deserved it and even though it’s not fair and it doesn’t make any sense, that’s the way it is,” Lala said.

Lala’s comments came after Stassi brought up Ariana and the way the world responded to the Sandoval affair, noting that not everyone has that reaction.

“You see someone like Ariana being cheated on and everyone stands up and says, ‘Wait, wait. Many of us have been cheated, but did we deserve it because we are tougher?’” Stassi asked, pointing out the double standards. “It’s so weird to see people react so differently to different women being cheated on.”

“I know. It’s disgusting,” Lala agreed.

Vander Pump Rules Season 11 is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
