The Los Angeles Lakers no longer have Anthony Davis and now you can add Lebron James to that. James exited Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after forward Solomon Hill landed on his ankle as he dived for the ball. James initially stayed in the game, even knocking down a triple, but then he controlled himself and went to the locker room and never returned to the game.
ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reported that James would undergo an MRI on his ankle, while ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the ankle X-rays were negative.
James took to Twitter and acknowledges that he will be out of the game for a while, but claims that he will be back and better than ever.
The Lakers will have to endure the next few weeks without their two best players in a Western Conference that will not sympathize with the defending champions.
