Lego’s new building set is not based on a TV show, like the oneset, or in a real-life building, such as the place. Instead, it’s based on the company’s founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen’s actual typewriter.
Theand once built it works like a real typewriter, albeit without the ink. An internal carriage moves as the letters are struck, and it can even carry a piece of paper on its rollers. A spool of red and black cloth is a first for Lego and completes the vintage typewriter look.
Lego recommends the typewriter for builders over the age of 18. Lego VIPs can purchase the set on June 16; everyone else will have to wait until July 1.
