L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence Product Review
Hello!! Here I am with another product review. I’ve been using L’Oreal Paris Crystal Micro-essence for three months, and I think it’s a good time to review it. So I got this product, thanks to my acne-prone combination skin, which behaves abnormally due to the change in climate and the stress of moving to another city. I always wanted to include an essence in my skincare routine that was light and not too heavy on my pocket. I was quite skeptical when I saw this product because it contains alcohol as the third ingredient. Many brands have used alcohol in skin care for better absorption of the product and to prevent it from sticking to the skin. There are different types of alcohol that are suitable for different skin types. L’Oréal did not mention the type used in this product.
Different types of alcohol for different skin types.
- Oily skin: ethyl alcohol.
- Dry Skin: higher molecular weight alcohol that provides a moisturizing sensation such as cetyl and stearyl.
- Sensitive skin: People with sensitive skin should avoid alcohol as it can irritate the skin. Perform a patch test before applying any alcohol-based products to the skin.
But I decided to try it anyway because it contains salicylic acid, a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), and my skin needed it at the time. It also contains Centella Asiatica, which has soothing properties for irritated skin.
What does the product say?
The skin is durably hydrated, smoother and more radiant.
Active ingredients-
Salicylic acid: Salicylic acid works to treat acne by unclogging clogged pores. It does this by breaking the bonds between dead skin cells so they can be more easily released from pores, and by breaking down oils like sebum. Salicylic acid also decreases the skin’s sebum production, which reduces breakouts.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Crystal Micro-Essence
First, let me comment on the packaging. It comes in a sturdy clear glass bottle that lets you know how much product is left. Plus, you can easily control the amount of product for your skincare routine. I love when you don’t have to dip your fingers in the product and you can control drips as it is very hygienic and eliminates residue.
The product is a clear, water-like liquid with a pleasant odor. My skin doesn’t react like that to perfume; I have nothing to say about it. I use this essence daily, morning and night, and follow it up with my serum and moisturizer. When I use it during the day, I always apply sunscreen. My skin reacted very well to this product, but some people may get irritated due to the high alcohol content. It is not heavy on my skin, it helps control oil on my T-zone and my skin feels noticeably fresher. It has never irritated my skin or dried it out as I have oilier combination skin. Since I started using this product, I have noticed fewer breakouts and it doesn’t feel sticky after application. Beauties with dry and sensitive skin should do a patch test and buy the smaller version first, as we don’t know what kind of alcohol it contains or if it will suit your skin.
