The second edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL 2021) will be played from 4 to 23 December and will be played with the participation of five teams, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced on Thursday (23 September).
SLC has also announced the foreign player registration process, which will start on Friday (September 24) and October 5 will be the last date.

Composition of the LPL 2021 team
The starting squad for LPL 2021 is expected to consist of 20 players, with the squad owning 14 local players and 6 foreign players. A team can only retain 4 players (2 local and 2 foreign) from the previous year (LPL 2020) team, while the rest will have to be chosen by the next ‘Player Draft.’
