No moment is too big for Luka Doncic!
With time running out against the Boston Celtics and the score 104-104, the ball was going to one man, with the Celtics defense focused on Doncic.
The shifting guard landed in his place on the left flank and despite the attention of three Celtics defenders, he let the triple stepback fly like he was joking in a YMCA.
“For a second I stayed there, I didn’t realize I did it”, Doncic said after the game.
“But it was great, you know? … I have to say I like my left foot about 45 degrees. I think I like that place so I was going to that place.
“Wins like this just pump chemistry, pump everything and I think this is a good win to keep going.”

Doncic is getting into the habit of these late game heroics, with the winner of tonight’s game third buzzer-beater of his career.
He finished the win with 33 points, nine rebounds, five assists and a block on 12 of 21 from the field and 5 of 10 from the 3-point line.
Boston recovered from a 17-point gap at half-time and took the lead with 2:12 left in the game, thanks to a triple from Marcus Smart, before Kristaps Porzingis’ dunk restored the end game for Doncic.
“I think everyone knew the ball was going to come in at 77, and he delivered it,” said Mavericks manager Jason Kidd. “He loves that moment, his teammates know it, and I would say that the opposing team knew that the ball would go to Luka and there was nothing they could do.”
The Mavericks, who have now won three of their last four games, have welcomed Kristaps Porzingis back into the starting lineup after missing five games, with the long enjoying a productive exit, recording 21 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. on 7-of-13 shots, including some timely plays along the stretch.
“He’s so attractive, he’s crazy. It’s always so fun to watch him play,” said Doncic’s Porzingis.
